Awan Brothers and Implications

For those of you not familiar with the Awan brothers, they are three Pakastani (Abid, Imran, and Jamal) brothers whom, were hired as the IT staff members for numerous members of congress.

How this happened is something of a mystery, because not only is hiring foreign nations to work on sensitive data extremely foolhardy, since they can abuse that without any of the accountability of a naturalized citizen (who can’t flee the jurisdiction of the U.S.), it’s also probably illegal, as one of the key requirements for a security clearance at any level is U.S. citizenship (https://www.clearancejobs.com/security-clearance-faqs#1).

Interestingly, one of the Awan’s also declared bankrupcy in 2012 which would further preclude the issuance of a clearance. (http://www.military.com/veteran-jobs/security-clearance-jobs/security-clearance-eligibility.html). In fact, at the time of this article the Awan’s are in clear violation of at least 7 of the 13 requirements to hold a clearance and the last Awan brother has only been fully removed from the payrolls of congress as a result of his arrest on Tuesday.

I find it hard to believe that none of the 30+ congress people who employed the Awan’s did not have any classified materials on their computers and I find it equally hard to believe that the Awan’s had any unique IT skills that would justify giving them access to these devices and their premium salaries (160k+)  despite their lack of clearance and numerous prima facia security concerns.

I want to blame Islamophilia, which has effected the judgement of left wing politicians in America since Islam somehow became the favored religion for virtue signaling. However, I fear that the answer is more insidious – I think that they were coerced by the Awan brothers as a result of information which they were able to extract from the networks of congress in their roles as IT administrators.

It remains to be seen if this is in fact case, and, if true, what specifically the congress members were compelled to do, but if the Awan’s did coherence the sitting members of congress – which would explain a lot of the leeway they were afforded as well as the mysterious circumstances of their departure, which makes federal law enforcement agencies look like the keystone kops, it raises serious questions about the fitnessof all the Congress members to serve.

If they did allow themselves to be coerced at best they have placed their personal interests before the interests of the people of the United States. At worst they are guilty of adhering to our Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

You may think that’s an overstatement, but I encourage you to look at some of the activities and known connections of the Awan’s (http://amp.dailycaller.com/2017/03/01/pakistani-suspects-in-house-it-probe-received-4-million-from-dem-reps/). If any of the Congress members were aware of any of this, and it’s hard to believe that Wasserman Schultz, at least, wasn’t, then there is a strong case to be made for High Crimes and Misdemeanors, which at a minimum would come 5 year prison term and an indefinite disqualification from holding public office.

If I’m wrong about the motive behind our nations top officials paying these uncleared criminals to access some of our nations most sensitive computer networks, then the people who are responsible for steering the course of our nation are only guilty of having very poor judgement. Lucky us.
